BOOKSTORE AT CCNY

To:           Julian Ramsey, Store manager

From:      Thierno Diallo, civil Engineering

Subject:   Constructing a book store

Date:        October 3, 2019

The purpose of this document is to propose a different way the school can help students get easily access to book and school supplies like engineering rules, pen and pencil.

SUMMARY

in this memo, I will discuss the importance for having book and school supplies in the campus and how that can affect students in the positive direction toward there graduation.

DISCUSSION

The book store in city college is not on the campus directly, but you can order any book that is recommended for your class from the school website and get it cheaper and faster. However, I would like to discuss as a civil engineering student why it’s important to have a bookstore in the campus.

The importance for having a bookstore in the campus is not about selling book only, but to sell some school furniture like pen, ruler and so on. To be helpful for the student to succeed, it will be better to have a bookstore that sell all kind of furniture in the campus. Sometimes, it’s convenient for student to walk and choose what they want.

Three days ago, I was looking an architect scale and engineering scale. Because the school does not have a book store inside, I have to drive from the campus to 125th street at staple store and buy it from them. It took me more than one hour and thirty minutes between the time I left the campus until I came back. I should have saved that time in campus and study on my homework.

RECOMMENDATION

As a civil engineering student in this campus, I would like to seat down with you and talk how we can find a solution and resolve this issue.
